Jaycee Homes

From Exploring the Idea to Creating More Homes

For several years, Jaycees Brantford Non-Profit Homes has been exploring how Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) could help create more affordable housing within our community. Those conversations have now moved from exploration to action.

In Fall 2026, JC Homes has purchased and will install five ADUs on selected properties within our existing housing portfolio as a pilot project. These homes will provide additional affordable housing while making thoughtful use of land we already own. The pilot will allow us to learn from the experience of planning, approving, installing and operating ADUs so that we can develop a practical model for future projects.

Five homes are only the beginning. As we look ahead, JC Homes will continue to assess suitable properties throughout our portfolio where additional homes can be created responsibly. Our goal is not simply to build more housing, but to build strong families and communities by making thoughtful, sustainable use of the resources and properties already entrusted to us.

Building More Homes Without Building New Neighborhoods
